Guide to a meaningful life!

Social Innovation & Wellbeing & Sustainable development of people

Although wellbeing conceptually suggests that it is a ‘static state’, we believe it is necessary to recognize its dynamic character. In this ‘dynamic approach to wellbeing’, we believe ‘wellbeing’ is defined as the ‘dynamic state in which people develop best’.

This approach, also understood as ‘wellbeing-as-development’, connects wellbeing with the human emotions that characterize the state people are in. This establishes a relationship between human emotions and light: light influences people’s emotions. Being able to self-manage emotions through lighting solutions, enables people to use light to positively influence their emotions and thereby improve their wellbeing, supporting people in increasing their vitality. Resulting in the ‘enlightment’ of people, giving them a feeling of well-being and personal growth.

The Spirare Centre supports people in finding their way through life, developing their own expertise with “Spiral Navigation”. The Centre helps people to express who they are, gives opportunities to explore their life’s purposes and how to act upon them, to enhance their sense of living a meaningful life. It facilitates experiences in navigating emotions to maximize people’s developmental state and well-being.

The relationship between human emotions, as a navigation tool for people’s development, and light are known since long: like all beings, people are attracted by light. Light brings vitality and revitalization to people. One of the unique aspects that are key to the success of Spirare Centre is therefore its lighting: throughout the entire centre, the lighting design plays a crucial role in spiral navigation of emotions.

This unique centre will attract lots of guests from home and abroad.
